Application Engineer- Proposal

As an Application Engineer - Proposal at VRV Asia Pacific Pvt. Ltd, a Chart Industries Company, you will play a crucial role in handling inquiries from the Indian & Export Market related to ACHX & Cold Boxes. Your responsibilities include: - Handling technical queries, selection, and sizing of equipment - Calculating the cost makeup for a proposal based on cost input from Business units - Negotiating with the client and ensuring smooth handover of the client-agreed contract to contract execution - Preparation of clear and definitive technical and commercial proposals in accordance with defined scopes of supply - Monitoring proposals based on inquiries received from clients - Ensuring that the selection of equipment aligns with client expectations and Howden standards - Coordinating the proposal process between Sales, Supply Chain, and internal functional departments - Evaluating competitive bids for equipment to provide cost-effective solutions - Attending Technical Clarification Meetings with customers and sub-contractors when required - Clarifying clients" technical issues and managing company/client relationships - Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards in compliance with Company policy - Contributing to all development activities within the department and company - Coordinating with design and projects departments for timely approval of GA drawings from customers - Checking orders thoroughly as per the order transfer Checklist and transferring to the project department Qualifications required for this role: - Mechanical or Thermal Engineering background - 2-5 years of experience in a proposals function, preferably from rotating equipment divisions - Commercial awareness to produce competitive and cost-effective proposals - Basic knowledge of process design techniques and interpretation of results into mechanical equipment details - Process knowledge on control philosophy, P&ID, and process instruments - Leadership, communication, negotiating, influencing, and interpersonal skills - Commitment to customer service, financial control, and engineering quality - Good communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of VB (Macros) would be an added advantage About VRV Asia Pacific Pvt.
