Application Engineer

Role Overview: You will lead all aspects of web development, including requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. In this role, you are expected to act like an owner, take action, and innovate to meet user and customer needs. Key Responsibilities: - Work with business stakeholders and business analysts to understand requirements and dependencies. - Develop data and integration pipelines, both sync and async, with a focus on integrations involving third-party (3P) systems. - Develop code for product or system development to address ambiguous issues. - Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers, business system leads, and program managers to design, develop, and produce systems within the broader area's scope. - Maintain the highest levels of development practices including technical design, development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience in full-stack related roles, with frontend, backend, data integration, and application integration experience. - Experience with software development in two or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Kotlin) with a focus on system integration. - Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience (preferred). - Experience collaborating with engineering leaders, product managers, and designers (preferred).,
