Application Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of new product initiatives from concept to launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and ensure

alignment with customer needs.

• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
• Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for new product development aligned with

company objectives.

• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful product launches.
• Mentor and develop the skills of the NPD team to foster innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and certifications relevant to the industry.
• Monitor product performance post-launch, making data-driven recommendations for

improvements.

• Executing DFMEA, VAVE, DVP&R & other product development tools
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop local & domestic vendors for indigenisation

& development of critical components

• Collaborate with external government agencies like ICAT, ARAI etc to get necessary product certifications for the launch

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Go To Market Strategy for new products
• Standardise & automate processes in 0-1 for enhancement of work efficiency

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in product development, project management, or a related role, with a

strong track record of successful product launches.

• 10 + Years of experience in directly managing an engineering team in the automation sector
• Deep understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and emerging trends.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on

continuous improvement.

• Proven ability to deploy products in the market, with 5+ years of direct experience in 0-1 domain
• Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams and meet deadlines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to drive collaboration and

influence stakeholders.

• Experience in regulatory compliance and risk assessment within the product development

lifecycle.
