Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Lab Technician cum Application Engineer with hands-on experience in the IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, supporting the installation and demonstration of diagnostic instruments, providing application training to customers, and assisting the field team with troubleshooting and technical support. Key Responsibilities:Laboratory Responsibilities:Perform routine and advanced testing on IVD instruments and reagents. Conduct quality control (QC) and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy. Prepare, maintain, and document laboratory records, test reports, and performance logs. Validate new instruments, reagents, and test methods before release. Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards and compliance protocols. Application Support:Conduct product demonstrations and training for customers, distributors, and internal teams. Provide application support for troubleshooting and optimizing assay performance. Assist in method standardization and validation at customer sites. Support the development of user manuals, SOPs, and technical documentation. Gather and communicate user feedback to improve product performance and usability. Field Support:Assist in instrument installation, calibration, and commissioning at customer sites. Provide on-site training and application support for customers. Troubleshoot technical and operational issues in coordination with the service team. Conduct field visits for product evaluations, demonstrations, and complaint handling. Maintain detailed visit reports and share insights with the management team. Qualifications and Experience:Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Life Sciences. Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in the IVD or clinical diagnostics industry. Hands-on experience with automated analyzers (Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunoassay, etc.). Strong understanding of laboratory practices, QC procedures, and assay optimization. Prior experience in field application or service support preferred. Skills Required:Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Proficient in handling laboratory and diagnostic instruments. Good documentation and report-writing skills. Willingness to travel frequently for field support and training assignments. Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving mindset.
