Appian Developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the

  design, development, and implementation

  of Appian applications.
• Gather and analyze requirements to define robust, scalable solutions.
  
• Design and implement

  data models

  and

  integrations

  with peripheral systems and middleware.
• Establish and enforce

  architectural and development standards

  in line with Appian and WNS-Vuram best practices.
• Perform

  code reviews

  and ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution across Appian environments.
  

• Mentor and guide

  a team of Appian developers and analysts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals.
  
• Lead innovation initiatives leveraging Appians latest capabilities and integrations.
  
• Manage

  Appian upgrades

  , deployments, and performance optimization.
• Participate in

  UAT, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies

  .
• Support infrastructure setup for on-premise projects (if applicable).
  
• Coordinate with onshore/offshore teams during all phases of the project lifecycle.
  

Technical Expertise Required:

• Strong hands-on experience in

  Appian (Process Modeling, SAIL, Sites, Records, Plugins, Admin Console, etc.)

  .
• Proficiency in

  database concepts

  (stored procedures, views, triggers, explain plans, etc.).
• Knowledge of

  J2EE/.NET

  and

  RDBMS

  (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Working knowledge of

  Windows/Linux

  environments and

  network basics

  .
• Experience with

  agile methodologies

  and sprint ceremonies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Computer Science, IT, or related field

  .

• 2–10 years of total experience

  , with at least

  2+ years of hands-on Appian development

  .

• 1+ years of experience in leading a development team

  (for senior roles).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Flexibility to work with global teams and stakeholders.
  

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Knowledge of

  GenAI, AI, RPA, IDP, DevOps, and Process Mining

  tools.

• Appian Senior / Lead Developer Certification

• Exposure to

  performance tuning

  high-volume Appian applications

• Experience building

  PoCs, demos, and technical solution documents
