Android Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Android Developer with strong experience in Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose/ Compose multiplatform, Bluetooth/BLE, and hands-on understanding of kiosk-mode or launcher-based applications. Experience collaborating with backend systems built on the Spring Framework is also preferred. Work on designing, developing, and optimizing Android applications used in controlled or enterprise device environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose/ Compose multiplatform.
  
• Build and manage launcher-based kiosk applications including:
  
• Custom home screens
  
• Lock task mode & Device Owner features
  
• Preventing unintended UI navigation
  
• Auto-start & background task handling
  
• Work with Spring Framework–based backend APIs, assist with API integration and validation.

Requirements

Required Skills

• 
  3–4 years of professional Android development experience.
  
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
  
• Experience using Jetpack Compose / Compose multiplatform for modern UI development.
  
• Strong understanding of Android app architecture.
  
• Experience working with Spring Boot/Spring Framework APIs.

Good to Have

• Experience with WorkManager, Room/SQL DB, or background services.
  
• Hands-on experience with Bluetooth & BLE APIs, scanning, and device communication.
  
• Hands-on experience Android kiosk mode, custom launchers, or Device Owner apps.
