Analyst

As a professional in the field of Investment Banking, you will be entrusted with various responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning and accuracy of financial operations. Your key duties will include: - Understanding and investigating a wide range of investment banking products such as cash securities and derivatives products, including equity, OTC & FX options, TRS, CDS, CDZ, synthetic CDO's, MBS, Bank Debt, Debt warrants, securities, Corporate and treasury bonds, along with various other credit and equity products. - Ensuring accurate month-end closing activities to guarantee that FO (economic) to Accounting Reconciliation reflects correct numbers in the Profit & Loss statement and Balance sheet by leveraging your product accounting knowledge. - Conducting thorough Accounting-related investigations for resolving discrepancies. - Performing reconciliations between Inventory positions and accounting balances while meeting strict regulatory deadlines. - Demonstrating a deep understanding of Investment banking products, economic, and accounting aspects to resolve breaks within internal management and regulatory deadlines. - Investigating and providing permanent resolutions for breaks and operational issues. - Certifying accounting balances during Month-end closure processes. - Adhering to both external and internal Audit requirements and recommendations. - Collaborating effectively with Back Office Operations & IT teams to achieve reconciliation resolutions. - Engaging in various projects aimed at process improvement for the entities. - Taking responsibility for the certification of manual accounts. To excel in this role, you are required to possess the following qualifications and skills: - Strong knowledge of financial products commonly dealt with in Investment banks. - Good understanding of accounting principles related to various products used in investment banking. - Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, analytical skills, and effective communication. - Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially MS Excel, with work experience in Alteryx being an added advantage.
