As a Fraud Investigation Analyst at Barclays, you will embark on a transformative journey where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future. A strong understanding of fraud detection techniques, tools, and technologies is essential for effectively identifying and preventing fraudulent activities. Additionally, having a good understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to fraud prevention and detection is crucial. Proficiency in using data, software, and systems is important to effectively analyze and interpret data to detect fraudulent activities. Minimum qualification required for this role is a bachelor's degree. Your performance may be assessed on essential skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital technology, and job-specific technical skills. The primary purpose of this role is to monitor customer accounts for suspicious or fraudulent activities and take appropriate action when required. Your responsibilities will include executing customer query support, collaborating with internal stakeholders and law enforcement agencies in cases of potential fraud, developing and implementing fraud prevention strategies, supporting various teams within the business operations function, and monitoring financial transactions for potential fraudulent and suspicious activities. As an Analyst, you are expected to meet the needs of stakeholders/customers through specialist advice and support, perform prescribed activities in a timely manner, and have responsibility for specific processes within a team. You may lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements, and coordinating team resources.
