As an integral part of an independent function within our organization, you will be responsible for conducting ongoing assessment and evaluation of credit exposures and credit risk management processes of Northern Trust Corporation and its subsidiaries. Your role plays a critical part in ensuring the presence of adequate controls over credit risk, which is a key component of a robust risk management system. Your primary responsibility will involve providing support to Credit Review Management, Examiner-in-Charge (EIC), and examiners by assisting in monitoring and analyzing the bank's portfolio. You will be accountable for generating and delivering management reports that highlight the overall quality of the credit portfolio. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating exam reports for periodic, horizontal, or supplemental reviews, and facilitating discussions to reach decisions effectively. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining excel-based workbooks and making coding adjustments using VBA where necessary. Your role will also involve assisting in the Credit Reviews Continuous Monitoring process to monitor the bank's lending, counterparty, and investment portfolios on a quarterly basis or more frequently. Under the general direction of Credit Review Management or EIC, you will participate in exams of the firm's various businesses. This will involve ensuring the integrity of risk ratings, portfolio quality, completeness of loan documentation, adequacy of credit policy, and adherence to regulations. You will be required to recommend changes to management based on your findings and adhere to criteria outlined in planning memos. Additionally, you will evaluate the accuracy and appropriateness of loan documentation and collateral, managing any identified risks accordingly. To excel in this role, you should have experience in using VBA, Power BI, queries, and reporting with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in these areas. Familiarity with Incorta would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting credit documentation and identifying potential negative credit conditions. Proficiency in Excel and a basic understanding of banking terminology would be beneficial for this position.,
