Analyst - Central Due Diligence

Role Overview: As an Analyst - CDD in the Financial Crime department, your role is crucial in ensuring early detection of potential mule/suspicious accounts. By monitoring, reviewing, and investigating financial transactions, you play a key role in mitigating risks related to money mule accounts, frauds, and other financial crimes. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and review accounts flagged by automated systems for unusual or suspicious activity. - Perform deep-dive analysis of flagged accounts, including reviewing transaction details, account history, and customer information. - Assess transaction patterns to identify deviations from normal customer behavior. - Provide detailed narratives and summaries of reviews to support decision-making. - Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of suspicious activities. - Identify patterns and typologies indicative of financial crime. - Call customers to understand transaction details prior to decision-making on actionable items. - Establish and maintain clear communication with branches for arranging Customer Enhanced Due Diligence and site verification, and gather additional information on flagged accounts. - Participate in cross-departmental discussions to understand emerging risks and trends. - Provide feedback on transaction monitoring tools and thresholds to improve detection accuracy. Qualification Required: - Graduation: Bachelor's degree in any stream. - Professional certification in Risk/AML. ,
