Analyst, Active Ownership

As an Associate in the Responsible Investing team at Russell Investments, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dedicated and passionate team working towards improving financial security for our clients and investors. Collaborating with responsible investing experts, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions and advancing our stewardship efforts. Your main responsibilities will include supporting Russell Investments sustainability research, active ownership, and responsible investing processes and programs. Working closely with research analysts, portfolio managers, and other members of the investment team across asset classes including equities, fixed income, and alternative assets, you will contribute to the integration of ESG considerations into our investment processes. To excel in this role, you should have 3-5 years of experience in asset management, financial services, or another analytical field. Experience in equities, responsible investing, sustainability, or corporate governance will be advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required, and certifications such as CFA, CFA ESG Certificate, or other sustainability credentials are a plus. You will be expected to work collaboratively with responsible investing teammates, portfolio managers, and investment colleagues to enhance our ESG processes and active ownership strategy. Developing expertise in ESG and responsible investing practices, you will engage in targeted interactions with companies in our portfolios, conduct sustainability research, and contribute to the development of ESG policies and practices within the firm. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines effectively. A proactive approach to problem-solving, sound judgment, and decision-making capabilities will be valuable assets in this position.
