Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Well versed understanding of Indirect Tax Law

To know and discuss impact of various amendments made through budgets, notifications, circulars, case laws etc. on monthly basis.

2. Guiding business on their day-to-day challenges and resolving their operational aspects

To resolve the business challenges like ITC availability, HSN Code, Billing Model, Credit Note & Debit Notes generation. Should have business insights of complex transactions. Should handle interdepartmental/intradepartmental coordination without creating conflicts.

3. Proactively working on tax compliances to avoid later date challenges of time availability

To act proactively on issues like block ITC, ITC accumulation, Refunds etc. to support business working capital.

4. Handling Notices, SCNs, Appeals etc.

To support compliances of all letters, notices and SCNs at Group Level.

5. Dealing with Outside Agencies (Auditors/Consultants/Advisors/Tax Officers)

To deal cordially with outside business partners and tax authorities ensuring best interest of the organization.

6. Dealing with Internal Stakeholders (Seniors, Peers and subordinates)

To ensure best outcome while maintaining good relations with internal stakeholders. High capabilities of team management to take them forward with their respective deliverables. Handholding wherever they need guidance and support.

7. Filing of various returns, forms, audit reports and tax payments

To ensure well before time correct and accurate filing of all statutory filing of returns, forms, audit reports and correct tax payments. Pre-validation of information before its submission to avoid risk of multiple revisions and additional tax payments.

8. Analyze and evaluate potential risk on various accounts

To have a checklist, develop tools and techniques and its monthly adherence of the areas of potential risk of inaccurate or wrong filing/reporting of information.

9. Monthly litigation tracker

To have an updated monthly tracker at Group Level showing all relevant information.

10. Regular interaction with plants finance heads

To have a monthly discussion with all plant finance heads to ensure accurate plant level tax compliances and governance.

11. Establish robust MIS system

To develop a robust MIS system for tax function covering all aspects.

Preferred candidate profile

CA Qualified with 2 years of post-CA experience
