Job Description of Air Ticketing & Reservation Executive Key Roles and Responsibilities: ● Booking and Issuing Tickets: This involves using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre to book flights, reserve seats, and issue tickets for both domestic and international destinations. ● Managing Reservations: Air Ticketing Executives are responsible for making changes to existing reservations, cancellations, and issuing refunds, as needed. ● Customer Service: They provide assistance to customers regarding flight schedules, fares, baggage allowances, and other travel-related information, ensuring a positive customer experience. ● Handling Inquiries and Resolving Issues: They address customer queries regarding their bookings, travel arrangements, and any other concerns they may have, seeking to resolve issues promptly and efficiently. ● Data Management: They input, verify, and update passenger data in the GDS system to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate the booking process. ● Working with GDS Systems: They are proficient in using GDS systems to access flight schedules, fares, and availability, and to book and manage reservations. ● Ensuring Compliance: They adhere to airline policies and procedures for ticketing and reservations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. ● Teamwork and Supervision: In some roles, they may supervise or train other ticketing staff, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high service standards.
