Hiring Alert : Air Freight Sales Manager

Location: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata

Work Mode: Onsite

Working Days: 6/week

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Sales Manager to lead and expand air freight services. This role involves driving business growth, managing key accounts, and ensuring seamless air freight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

?? Identify and pursue new business opportunities in air freight services (exports/imports, outbound/inbound).

?? Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, shippers, consignees, and airline partners.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

?? Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.

?? Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations to secure new businesses.

?? Achieve sales goals through market planning and personal sales efforts.

Account Management:

?? Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular engagement and upselling of value-added services (e.g., customs clearance, warehousing, cold chain air freight).

?? Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve service issues in coordination with operations.

Market Intelligence & Pricing:

?? Monitor market trends, competitors, and airline rates to stay competitive.

Coordinate with pricing and procurement teams to secure competitive air freight rates.

Internal Collaboration:

?? Work closely with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and customer invoicing.

Reporting:

?? Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer profiles, and pipeline updates in CRM systems (like Salesforce, Zoho CRM).

Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.

Industry Experience:

?? Proven experience in sales, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

?? In-depth knowledge of air freight operations, including international shipping regulations and customs requirements.

Technical Proficiency:

?? Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.

Communication & Relationship Management:

?? Strong communication and negotiation skills.

?? Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills.

Organizational Skills:

?? Strong organizational and time management skills.

?? Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Mandatory Criteria

??Candidate must have experience in the freight forwarding industry.

??Candidate must have experience in dealing with international markets.

??Proven experience in sales, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

??In-depth knowledge of air freight operations, including international shipping regulations and customs requirements.

?? Experience in budget preparations, sales planning, and execution of management sales strategies.

??Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools.
