AI Software Development Engineer

General Expectation:

• Designs, develops, integrates, tests, validates, and/or debugs software to enable Intel product features to enable or utilize Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning,deep learning, and GenAI.
• Understands internal and external partner software and develops software across the stack (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable and optimize specific AI features, capabilities, solutions, reference platforms, or Intel products.
• Includes the development of reference AI software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value of Intel AI products, the development and/or optimization of workloads for AI benchmarks, and workloads for simulation to support preSi power and performance analysis and architecture recommendations.

Role Specific Expectation:

In this role, you are expected to drive, develop, and enable adoption of GenAI based solutions on Intel portfolio. The solutions are focused on edge deployment which brings with it unique challenges on performance - accuracy tradeoff, selection of models, and design of the overall (multimodal) use case.

You will own the SW stack, collaborate with key stakeholders (internal and external), and drive the adoption of Intel Si through such SW. You should have hands-on experience developing GenAI solutions addressing real world use cases. Experience working with GenAI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex etc., excellent view of GenAI foundation model landscape with specific focus on downstream SLMs derived from it for Edge deployments, experience working on vision/video analytics pipelines, performance optimization, experience with open-source development, training/inference background etc. is preferred.

• Masters in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Experience - 7+ Years.
• Development experience in Linux environment (multiple distributions like deb, RPM etc.) and developing open-source SW including upstream experience. SDL knowhow is an added plus.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ programming.
• Experience of at least 8 years in SW development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant experience in AI domain with GenAI, Models, training, inference, AI frameworks etc.
