AGM / DGM - Operation - Pellet Plant

Plant Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 1.5 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant using straight grate technology and wet grinding with filtration units.
• Operate and manage beneficiation plants including ball mills, hydrocyclones, spirals, scrubbers, vibrating screens, HGMS, thickeners, screw classifiers, derrick screens, ceramic filters, and press filters.
• Maintain process parameters and quality standards for filter cake properties such as grinding, Blaine number, moisture percentage, and total iron content (FeT).
• Commission and operate new beneficiation plants and pellet plants ensuring smooth ramp-up and stabilization.

Production & Performance Monitoring:

• Prepare and present daily and monthly plant performance reports (MIS, DPR, PPT), including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and quality rate calculations.
• Implement systems and process improvements to enhance operational control and efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot plant problems actively in coordination with technical teams.

Team & Resource Management:

• Lead and manage assembly line workers and production teams to achieve set production targets.
• Develop and execute manpower schedules to ensure optimal deployment and productivity.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure timely achievement of daily and monthly production goals.

Quality Control & Continuous Improvement:

• Oversee quality control through monitoring of incoming materials, in-process checks, and final product inspections.
• Conduct regular audits and documentation reviews to ensure process compliance and quality standards.
• Drive initiatives for continuous quality improvements and operational excellence.

Maintenance & Safety:

• Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure seamless plant operations.
• Promote energy-saving and process optimization projects to reduce power and fuel consumption.

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth working knowledge of pellet plant processes: heat hardening, pre-treatment, induration, cooling, oil-fired shaft furnaces, rotary kilns, travelling grate, annular coolers, combustion fans, pelletizer discs, and roller screens.
• Proficient in operating iron ore fines grinding equipment such as ball mills, hydrocyclones, thickeners, slurry pumps, and filter presses.

Soft Skills & Stakeholder Management:

• Effective communication and presentation skills for reporting and conducting meetings with top management and plant heads.
• Active participation in research and development programs to improve mineral processing techniques.
