Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership & Operations:

    • Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee the entire financial accounting cycle for assigned group companies, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed asset management, and general ledger maintenance in accordance with Indian GAAP.
    • Ensure timely and accurate closing of financial books each month and quarter.
    • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
    • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth communication during audits.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare and deliver accurate and insightful financial reports, including management reports, variance analysis, cash flow forecasts, and other key financial metrics, for assigned group companies.
    • Consolidate financial statements for assigned group companies to meet corporate reporting requirements.
    • Partner with business unit heads to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic financial insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Taxation & Compliance:

    • Manage all aspects of tax compliance for assigned group companies, including GST, Income Tax, and other applicable taxes.
    • Stay abreast of evolving tax laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
    • Manage relationships with tax authorities and external tax advisors.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification preferred; MBA in Finance with a proven track record in a similar role will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior finance & team handling role (Sr. Manager, AGM, DGM, or equivalent) within the service industry.
  • Proven experience in managing the financial operations of multiple companies within a large and complex group structure.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in accounts and finance management, taxation (GST, Income Tax, and other relevant taxes), EBITA, financial reporting, and financial modelling.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SAP Mandatory, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Age between 35-40 years.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to our branches across India as per business needs.
