University Institute of Engineering and Technology Panjab University, Sector-25, Chandigarh 160014 No: 12146/UIET Date of Advt.: 14-10-24 Advertisement Applications are invited along with bio-data and attested copies of the certificates of qualification, experience, etc. for positions of Junior Research Fellow in University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh under the project titled “Development of framework/utility for archival, processing, visualization & classification of seismic signal data for detection of snow avalanche events” sanctioned by DGRE, Chandigarh.  The position of Junior Research Fellow is for a period of one year and likely to be extended up to another 12 months OR coterminous with project, depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate. The incumbents are also expected to work on Saturdays/Sundays and may be on holidays also for any project exigency. Junior Research Fellow: 01 Essential Qualifications: “First class throughout with M.E / M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology with GATE / UGC NET/PU Ph.D. Entrance test in CSE/IT Qualified and B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology” OR “B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology with 75% marks and valid GATE score”. Desirable: Knowledge of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/Signal Processing and willing to pursue Ph.D. in CSE/IT.
