Position summary:
As an Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing personalized customer journeys using AJO, Decision Management, and Native Channels. You will work closely with marketing, data, and analytics teams to create seamless, real-time, omnichannel customer experiences based on a deep understanding of customer behavior and business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Journey Orchestration: Design, configure, and launch dynamic, multi-step customer journeys using AJO, activating both real-time triggers and scheduled batch campaigns.
- Decision Management: Implement and manage personalized offers and decisioning logic using the AJO Offer Decision Engine. This includes creating offer catalogs, defining eligibility rules, ranking offers with AI or custom logic, and managing placements for cross-channel delivery.
- Native Channels Management: Configure and optimize delivery across native channels, including email, SMS, and push notifications. This involves setting up channel configurations, managing subdomains, and implementing IP warming strategies.
- AEP Integration: Work within Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) to integrate data and services. This includes working with Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) for audience segmentation, leveraging Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) for reporting, and ensuring data quality.
- Data and Profile Management: Collaborate with data engineers to define and manage schemas using the Experience Data Model (XDM), ensuring a unified customer profile and reliable data for segmentation and personalization.
- Technical Implementation: Use APIs and SDKs (like Web SDK) to build integrations between AJO, AEP, and other third-party systems. Build and deploy customized actions for communication and data exchange.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze journey performance using AJO's built-in reporting. Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues related to campaign execution, deliverability, and platform performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a subject-matter expert on AJO and AEP. Gather business requirements from marketing and other stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Required skills and qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 49 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Demonstrated experience with AJO Decision Management, including managing offer catalogs and decision logic.
- Strong expertise in native channel configuration and management (Email, Push, SMS).
- Technical Expertise:
- Deep understanding of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Real-Time CDP, XDM, and Identity Service.
- Proficiency with APIs and Web SDK for data integration and customization.
- Professional Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and data science.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

- Adobe Certified Expert—Journey Optimizer Developer Expert.
Adobe Certified Professional—Journey Optimizer Business Practitioner.
