Job Description

The Admission Counselor cum Telecaller plays a key role in the university’s student recruitment process. The role involves engaging with prospective students (and parents), providing accurate information about university programs, guiding them through the admission process, and ensuring timely follow-up to convert inquiries into enrollments. The candidate will be responsible for both telecalling and in-person counseling, supporting the university’s admission goals.

Key Responsibilities:1. Inquiry Handling & Telecalling

  • Make outbound calls to prospective students who have shown interest through various sources (website, walk-ins, events, digital campaigns, etc.).
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to queries regarding courses, eligibility, scholarships, fees, admission criteria, and university facilities.
  • Maintain an accurate database of leads and regularly update follow-up details in CRM or the student management system.
  • Ensure timely and effective follow-up with potential students to increase conversion rates.

2. Counseling & Student Support

  • Counsel students and parents about suitable academic programs based on their interests, academic background, and career goals.
  • Provide step-by-step guidance through the application and admission process.
  • Support students with documentation, application submission, entrance test scheduling, and fee payment.
  • Build rapport with students and maintain a professional, supportive relationship until enrollment.

3. Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with academic departments, marketing, and finance teams to ensure smooth communication during the admission cycle.
  • Assist in organizing admission drives, open houses, webinars, and university fairs.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to share insights about student inquiries and campaign performance.

4. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on inquiry status, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions achieved.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and handle all data as per institutional policies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English ,Hindi.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and persuasive skills.
  • Good understanding of university programs, admission procedures, and academic regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve admission targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and online communication tools.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • Prior experience (1–3 years) in university admissions, student counseling, or telecalling preferred.
