Job Description

ole & responsibilities

Administration & Operations

  • Oversee daily administrative activities of the hospital.
  • Coordinate with all departments (clinical, nursing, HR, finance, housekeeping, and security).
  • Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, wards, and support services.
  • Monitor facility maintenance, utilities, and vendor services.

Human Resources Coordination

  • Support HR in attendance monitoring, duty rosters, and leave coordination.
  • Handle onboarding and administrative formalities of staff.
  • Address staff administrative issues and escalate as required.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital HR policies and labor laws.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain statutory and regulatory records (TN Shops & Establishment, labor laws, biomedical waste, fire & safety, etc.).
  • Coordinate audits, inspections, and renewals of licenses.
  • Ensure hospital policies and SOPs are implemented and followed.

Hospital Support Services

  • Supervise housekeeping, security, and transport services.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline across hospital premises.
  • Handle patient-related administrative support and grievances.

Inventory & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with stores for non-medical supplies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and service-level agreements.
  • Assist in purchase coordination and approval processes.

Communication & Reporting

  • Act as a bridge between management and staff.
  • Prepare administrative reports and daily/monthly updates.
  • Attend meetings and implement management decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in hospital administration/business administration/management or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MHA / MBA Hospital Management) preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in hospital administration or healthcare setup.
  • Exposure to NABH/NABL standards is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of hospital operations and statutory compliance.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure.
