Activity Coordinator

As an Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a wide variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for elderly residents. Your passion for working with seniors and ability to tailor activities to suit varying levels of physical and cognitive ability will be key in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a monthly activity calendar based on residents" needs and interests. - Organize social, recreational, educational, and wellness-based activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, group exercises, and outings. - Encourage resident participation and adapt activities for individuals with different physical or cognitive limitations. - Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and care staff to ensure activities align with resident care plans. - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program effectiveness. - Coordinate with local community groups, entertainers, and volunteers to enhance the activity program. - Ensure the safety of residents during all activities and outings. - Collect feedback from residents and families to continually improve programming. - Participate in care team meetings and contribute to the development of holistic care strategies. Requirements: - Previous experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or a similar role, preferably in eldercare or healthcare setting. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Patience, empathy, and creativity. - Ability to motivate and engage elderly individuals. - Organizational and time management skills. - Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). - Certification in recreational therapy or activity coordination is a plus. In this role, you will work full-time in person, contributing to the well-being and quality of life of elderly residents through engaging and tailored activities.,
