Job Description

As a Care Helper at our eldercare center, you will play a crucial role in providing physical, emotional, and hygienic support to residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting elderly individuals with activities of daily living, maintaining their hygiene, and ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Your patience, empathy, physical stamina, and genuine desire to care for senior citizens, especially those with mobility, cognitive, or medical challenges, will be essential in this role. You will be responsible for assisting residents with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, oral care, hair care, nail trimming, and skin care. Additionally, you will help residents with mobility using wheelchairs, walkers, or other aids, reposition bed-bound residents to prevent bedsores, and support safe transfers. Feeding and nutrition support will also be part of your role, including mealtime preparation, serving, feeding, monitoring dietary restrictions, and fluid intake. You will be expected to observe residents for signs of discomfort, illness, or behavioral changes and report any concerns promptly to the nursing staff. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and ensuring laundry and linen are regularly washed and changed will be essential. In addition, you will offer emotional and social support to residents through companionship, engaging in activities, and promoting dignity and respect. Following infection control protocols, being prepared for emergencies, and supporting evacuation procedures when necessary are crucial aspects of this role. You should have a minimum education of 8th to 10th pass, with caregiver certification being a plus, and prior experience in caregiving or eldercare settings preferred. Basic understanding of elderly needs, hygiene standards, and safety procedures, along with physical fitness, kindness, patience, and good communication skills, will be required. Desirable certifications include Basic First Aid or CPR, caregiver training for dementia or bedridden support, and certification in hygiene and eldercare. The job may involve physically demanding tasks, working shifts including weekends and holidays, and emotional resilience when supporting residents with terminal illness or memory loss. Joining our compassionate team will provide you with meaningful experience in healthcare and caregiving, on-the-job training, and opportunities for growth in eldercare services. Job types include full-time, part-time, permanent, and contractual/temporary roles, with shifts including day, evening, morning, and rotational shifts. The work location is in person.,
