This role combines practical assistance with emotional companionship, ensuring seniors feel safe, respected, and cared for in their daily routines. Key Responsibilities Personal Care Assistance : Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility. Meal Preparation : Cook and serve nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs. Medication Support : Remind and assist with medication schedules (no administration unless certified). Household Tasks : housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Companionship : Engage in conversation, games, walks, and other activities to reduce isolation. Transportation : Accompany to appointments, errands, or social outings (if applicable). Monitoring : Observe and report changes in physical or emotional health to family or medical staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may require CNA certification). Experience in caregiving, nursing, or related fields preferred. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
