Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Handling all activities related to disbursements, petty cash, invoicing, booking, payments for head office and branches and Intercompany settlements.

Payment Process

Calculate post business transactions for the Group, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.
Handle all activities related to disbursements, petty cash invoicing and monthly booking expenses.
Forward payment requests to Treasury team before the deadline for each payment dates and follow up with them for timely release of payments.
Update the supplier on payment status with details of payments processed/released.

Payable Accounting

Maintain tracking sheet for recording supplier invoices.
Complete 3 Way/2 Way matching and record the Invoices in ERP.
Review the invoices with PO and advise the Finance Manager/Procurement team on applicability of Liquidated Damages or other deductions.
Follow up for supplier statement of accounts and complete the reconciliation.
Complete payable reconciliation to generate payment requests.

Transaction Recording

Recording of debit notes/credit notes, posting of petty cash transactions and posting of journal entries in ERP.

Preferred candidate profile

Graduate in Commerce

Organization and Time management skills
Numerical Ability
Knowledge of MS Office
Oracle R12
