Checks and verifies account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable records. Uses office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct specialized research projects and respond to inquiries. May reconcile difficult accounts. May maintain a complete and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting. Extensive knowledge in specialized function. Contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Assignments are complex and require judgement and initiative. May act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments. May be a team leader or considered a subject matter expert for their work area. Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
