Job Description

Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable

    :
    • Process and verify invoices from suppliers and vendors.
    • Ensure timely payment of bills and manage the company's liabilities.
    • Monitor due dates for accounts payable and maintain vendor relationships.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping in Tally.
  • Accounts Receivable

    :
    • Manage customer invoicing and ensure timely follow-up for outstanding payments.
    • Track and monitor customer accounts to minimize overdue amounts.
    • Resolve issues with customers related to billing or payment discrepancies.
    • Maintain accurate records of receivables and reconcile customer accounts in Tally.
  • TDS (Tax Deducted at Source)

    :
    • Calculate, deduct, and remit TDS on applicable payments (vendor payments, salary payments, etc.).
    • Prepare TDS returns and ensure timely filing of TDS statements.
    • Maintain TDS-related records and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
    • Generate TDS certificates for vendors and employees, as required.
  • GST Compliance

    :
    • Handle GST calculations and ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).
    • Maintain accurate records of GST transactions and reconcile input/output taxes.
    • Ensure that GST invoices are correctly issued, and GST credits are correctly claimed.
    • Assist with GST audits and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Financial Reporting

    :
    • Assist in preparing monthly and yearly financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost control.
    • Support management with budget forecasting and variance analysis.
  • General Ledger & Reconciliation

    :
    • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are posted accurately and timely.
    • Reconcile bank statements, cash accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
    • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Inventory & Cost Control

    :
    • Assist with inventory tracking and cost management, working closely with the operations team.
    • Monitor the cost of goods sold (COGS) and help ensure profitability.
    • Review pricing and cost reports to recommend ways to optimize margins.
  • Administrative Support

    :
    • Maintain financial documents and ensure accurate filing and record-keeping.
    • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including preparation for audits and tax filings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education

    :
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Certification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience

    :
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the

      F&B

      or

      hospitality

      sector.
    • Strong experience in

      Accounts Payable

      ,

      , and

      Reconciliation

    • Hands-on experience with

      Tally

      accounting software.
    • Knowledge of

  • Skills

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage large data sets and financial models.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
