Accounting Technician - Fixed Asset

Role Overview: Stantec, a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting, is seeking an Accounting Technician for the Fixed Assets team in Pune. As a key member of the Financial Services team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial expertise and support to the day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Managing the daily processing of fixed asset invoices, transfers, and disposals - Preparing monthly processes, including fixed asset journal entries - Performing the monthly closure of the fixed asset sub-ledger and reconciling it with the general ledger - Ensuring accurate statement of assets and substantiating all reconciling items - Preparing monthly continuity schedules and supporting working papers for audits - Collaborating with operational and financial managers on fixed asset queries and depreciation estimates - Assisting in the migration of fixed assets from acquisitions - Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and assisting in the period end close process - Contributing to the review and implementation of business process improvements - Assisting with testing updates and changes to financial systems - Maintaining process documentation and handling various duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Required: - Accounting Diploma or Degree (B.Com, M.Com, MBAFinance) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a multi-national Accounting department - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Blackline, Oracle, or other large Enterprise systems preferred - Working towards an Accounting designation is an added advantage - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively - Effective communication skills in written and oral English - Proactive, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Demonstrated maturity and ability to build relationships with team members and regional contacts (Note: Any additional details of the company were not present in the job description.),
