Job Description

Role Overview: As an Accounting Technician at Stantec in Pune, you will be a key member of the Financial Services team, providing financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting. You will play a vital role in managing the daily processing of fixed asset invoices, transfers, and disposals, as well as preparing monthly processes, including fixed asset journal entries. Your role will involve reconciling the fixed assets general ledger, preparing continuity schedules, and supporting working papers for audit purposes. Key Responsibilities: - Managing the daily processing of fixed asset invoices, transfers, and disposals - Preparing monthly processes, including fixed asset journal entries - Performing the monthly closure of the fixed asset sub-ledger and reconciling it to the general ledger - Reconciling fixed assets accounts to ensure accuracy and substantiating reconciling items - Preparing monthly continuity schedules and supporting working papers for audits - Ensuring key controls over Financial Reporting are met - Collaborating with operational and financial managers on fixed asset queries and depreciation estimates - Assisting in the migration of fixed assets from acquisitions - Preparing other monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as needed - Assisting in the 5-day period end close process - Supporting the review and implementation of business process improvements - Assisting with testing updates and changes to financial systems - Maintaining process documentation - Undertaking various duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Required: - Accounting Diploma or Degree (B.Com, M.Com, MBAFinance) - Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a multinational Accounting department - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines - Attention to detail and proactive approach - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment - Demonstrated maturity and ability to develop relationships with team members and regional contacts - Experience with Blackline, Oracle, or other large Enterprise system is preferred - Working towards an Accounting designation is preferred Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.,
