Accounting Control Analyst

Role Overview: The Accounting Control Analyst, NCT position in Pune, India, at Deutsche Bank involves being part of the accounting close team responsible for ensuring that Legal Entity financials are accurately reported in the Group Consolidation System. As an analyst, your primary responsibility will be managing the month-end accounting process, processing standard and non-standard accounting adjustments, participating in control initiatives, and ensuring accurate and timely service delivery within a risk-free controlled environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation and LEC metrics - Handle accounting and reporting for Frankfurt (Germany) Entities engaged in banking and non-banking activities - Interpret business events and apply appropriate accounting treatment for reporting under IFRS and German GAAP - Generate MIS Packs and financial statements with trend analysis and commentaries - Manage exception management, including reconciliation and break resolution - Coordinate with customer/LVC teams to ensure information is received as per requirements - Independently manage BAU tasks and provide functional management for team members - Ensure adherence to standard procedures and key operating procedures - Maintain quality and quantity of processing as per SLA - Drive process efficiency improvements while upholding a controlled environment - Escalate issues promptly to prevent adverse impacts on the business - Understand and manage control environment around reporting systems - Participate in UAT and represent Accounting Close team for various projects - Foster teamwork culture and provide assistance during contingencies - Keep process documentation up to date (SOP/KOP) Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in Finance teams of banks, investment banks, or accounting firms - Experience in reconciliation activities and ERP/S4 Hana Architecture, preferably SAP - Working knowledge of IFRS and Reference Data maintenance - Basic understanding of BI tools like Alteryx, Tableau, and Power BI preferred - Strong communication skills (oral & written) - Analytical abilities with attention to detail - Effective time management skills - Drive for process improvement and proactive approach - Graduate or Post-Graduate in Commerce with 4-5 years of experience OR CA with 3 years of experience Company Details: Deutsche Bank is committed to fostering a culture of empowerment, responsibility, commercial thinking, and collaboration.
