Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Location:

Key Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
Preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage GST, TDS, Professional Tax, PF, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Monitor inventory accounting, costing, and stock reconciliations in coordination with the stores and production departments.
Manage vendor and customer account reconciliation.
Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and budget variance reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
Support in payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
Liaise with banks for payments, LC, OD, and other banking transactions.

Key Skills Required:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
Proficiency in Tally ERP/Zoho Books/other accounting software.
Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Good understanding of taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and compliance matters.
Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Master’s Degree (M.Com / MBA in Finance) / CA Inter preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a manufacturing/food processing/FMCG industry.
