Job Description

This is for an Event management firm.

Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple ongoing event projects
Track and report on event-specific budgets, expenses, and profitability
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Reconcile bank and vendor accounts
Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and project-related payments
Collaborate with project managers to review budgets and forecasts
Assist with tax filings and regulatory compliance
Support audits and prepare documentation as required
Implement and maintain internal financial controls
Manage payroll in coordination with HR

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

B. Com and/ or M. Com
5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience
Familiarity with project-based accounting practices

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting softwares
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

Experience with cost control and vendor negotiations in event execution
Understanding of GST and other applicable tax regimes
Knowledge of financial processes related to sponsorships, ticketing, and artist/vendor contracts
