Accountant I

As a Finance Accountant at our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial results. You will collaborate with finance peers globally to align on group accounting practices and processes. Additionally, you will support the tax department in various tasks such as SUT, GST & CIT preparation and filing, research, and documentation. Your responsibilities will include preparing general ledger entries, reviewing operating statements, analyzing key accounts, identifying unusual transactions, and verifying accrual adequacy. You will also ensure that month-end close deadlines and financial reporting requirements are met according to organizational accounting policies. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, compiling supporting documentation for balances, reviewing financial results with BU controllers and GL team lead, and assisting in year-end audit schedules. Your involvement in ad hoc projects will also be crucial in supporting management and project teams. To excel in this role, you should have a background in accounting or finance (CA or CMA) with 2-3 years of experience in a medium/large size organization. Strong analytical and technical accounting skills are essential, along with US Accounting experience. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is vital. Proficiency in ERP accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP S4/HANA, is required. Exceptional organizational skills, a hands-on, team-focused mentality, and the ability to work independently under pressure are key attributes for success in this role. Experience with tax compliance, audit, or working with multinational or foreign businesses will be advantageous.
