Accountant - GL and Reporting

Job Title: Senior Associate – General Ledger & Reporting

Location: Chennai, India
Reporting To: Assistant Lead / Lead

Product / Function:

General Ledger & Reporting
Sub-Function: Bookkeeping and Reporting

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Handle Revenue Accounting and Payroll Accounting.
• Manage Intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journals.
• Support audit, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Interact with business teams to ensure a smooth period-end close.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting (mandatory).
• Master’s degree in Accounting (preferred).

Professional Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in General Ledger (GL) & reporting processes.

Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer systems and ability to learn multiple software applications.
• Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).

Languages:

• Good proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak).

Knowledge & Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
