About the team:
We are looking for an Accountant with
4 to 7 years
of experience to be based at our
Mangalore
office in India and to be part of our growth story.Join us in the India Finance team to shape the reporting and finance function. Lead the transformation of our financial operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive impactful solutions that will assist in compliance, forecasting, and strategic insights for the Indian operations.
Responsibilities:
- Work on all compliance-related activities.
- Ensuring adherence to Indian tax laws.
- Managing transfer pricing documentation and practices and liaising with government departments for regulatory approvals and filings.
- Preparing and reviewing financial reports and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monthly reporting to both local management and Headquarter.
- Ensure smooth Audit process and Annual Reporting.
- The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's operations in a compliant and efficient manner.
Your workday, your tasks and mandatory skill set:
- High responsibility and proactiveness.
- Ability to work effectively with various government departments and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, corporate compliance, international taxation and TP.
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead reconciliation of accounts, manage vendor payments, and handle bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Oversee tax compliance, including GST returns, TDS payments & filings, income tax filings, PT/PF and STPI compliances while liaising with external auditors for statutory and internal audits.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge on IFRS and international Accounting Standard.
- Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to management for cost optimization.
- Implement and maintain ERP systems (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books) for efficient bookkeeping, financial reporting.
- Support cross-functional teams with financial modeling, cost analysis, and ad-hoc reporting to drive business performance.
- Identify financial risks, implement internal controls, and ensure adherence to Indian GAAP/Ind AS, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 4 years in finance/accounting roles, preferably in corporate settings like services, or consulting firms in India. Exposure to auditing, taxation and payroll processing is essential.
- CA Inter with Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent from a recognized university; M.Com is a plus but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and income tax regulations. Experience in transfer pricing regulations and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), Tally ERP, Zoho books and other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder interactions and team collaboration.
- Results-oriented mindset, ability to handle deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Residing in Mangalore, or open to relocation.
