Accountant

Company Overview:

Job Title:

• Tally data entry including sales, purchase, receipts, payments, bank reconciliation statement, and preparation of debtors / creditors statements.
• Receiving and processing all invoices, expense forms and requests for payments. • Handling petty cash, preparing bills and receipts.
• Maintaining accounting records, making copies, filing documents, etc.
• Thorough with statutory compliance of deducted and collected taxes viz GST, TDS.
• Knowledge of returns for e-TDS, GST, Income tax

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.

2. Tax Compliance:

• Stay updated on Indian taxation laws and regulations.
• Handle all aspects of tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with local regulations.

3. Liaison with Authorities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for local tax authorities.
• Address queries and inquiries from government bodies promptly.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate and work together with other members of the firm across India to ensure that the work progresses seamlessly

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2. Fluency in English (written and oral)

3. Professional accounting qualification e.g., CA, CMA (fully or semi-qualified) preferred.

4. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in accounting and taxation. (Experience of 5 years and above preferred)

5. In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws and compliance requirements.

6. Proficient in accounting softwares and MS Excel.
