Position Title: Accountant Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Accounts Manager with a strong corporate background and a proven track record in managing multi-location accounting operations in a manufacturing setup. The role will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and implementing best practices to support operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and mentor 7 accountants Mumbai locations.
• Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and ensure timely deliverables from each location.
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

2. Accounting Operations

• Oversee day-to-day accounting for purchase, sales, expenses, payroll, and inter-company transactions.
• Ensure proper recording of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Maintain and monitor general ledger accuracy across all units.

3. Compliance & Statutory Requirements

• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants.
• Maintain compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other relevant regulations.

4. Manufacturing & Costing

• Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory accounting.
• Oversee product costing and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with plant teams for periodic physical stock verification.

5. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS, profitability analysis, and management dashboards.
• Consolidate accounts from all locations and prepare financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

6. Process Improvement

• Standardize accounting practices across locations.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Establish internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance / B.Com.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in corporate accounting, preferably in manufacturing, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Industry Preference: Manufacturing or allied industries.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and Companies Act.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems Tally Prime, SAP B1 and advanced Excel skills.

Office Time - 9.30am to 6.30pm

Alternate Saturday Off
