Job Title: Account Trainee
Location: The Fern Residency Hotel, Vadodara
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

The Fern Residency Hotel, Vadodara, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Trainee to join our Finance & Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in hotel accounting. The trainee will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the accounts department in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Support the accounts team in processing accounts payable and receivable.
• Help in reconciling bank statements and daily transaction reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Verify and process employee expense claims and vendor bills.
• Support payroll processing and maintain employee financial records.
• Ensure compliance with hotel accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist in inventory management and cost control activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Perform data entry and maintain organized filing of financial documents.
• Support during internal and external audits as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA-Finance preferred).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Tally ERP/other accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Experience:

• Freshers are welcome; prior internship experience in accounting/finance is a plus.
