Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience handling accounts payable/receivable, project-based costing, vendor payments, and financial reporting — all within the dynamic environment of construction projects.

The role requires an understanding of the construction billing cycle, contracts, taxation (GST/TDS/etc.), and coordination with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate and timely financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in general ledger entries.
  • Maintain proper records of purchase invoices, sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor reconciliations.

2. Project-Based Costing & Budgeting

  • Assist in tracking and managing project budgets, material costs, labor expenses, and overheads.
  • Support project managers in maintaining cost control and reporting variances.
  • Allocate expenses to respective project accounts accurately.

3. Billing & Invoicing

  • Prepare customer invoices based on work completion and contract terms.
  • Coordinate with site engineers and project teams for billing schedules and supporting documents.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.

4. Taxation & Compliance

  • Assist in filing of GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors and consultants during audits or financial reviews.

5. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare periodic financial reports including cash flow statements, expense reports, and budget summaries.
  • Reconcile bank statements and petty cash accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com ).
  • 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with construction billing systems (e.g., RA Bills, BOQ-based billing).
  • Understanding of project-based accounting and contract management.
  • Experience handling subcontractor and supplier payments.
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable construction-related taxes and compliance norms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
