Job Description

The Internet and Mass-Scale Infrastructure (I&MI) Account Executive (AE) in this role must develop strong working relationships with Sales Leaders, Account Managers, and Engineers to ensure alignment of sales strategies for I&MI technology and overall Cisco business within customers" environments. Additionally, you will engage resources, including I&MI business units, marketing, and Cisco partners, to drive the growth of the technology within the assigned territory. You will be responsible for driving optics, service provider routing, optical, and automation sales to customers building large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) networks and AI Infrastructure. Developing strong relationships with key customers, including at the executive level, to understand customer business drivers and influence their tactical and strategic plans will be crucial. You will be accountable for leading new and emerging customers through major architecture transitions to support AI service offerings and collaborate with Cisco team members and partners to capture and accelerate new franchises. Your role will involve building a comprehensive business plan to drive the business and exceed goals. Extensive knowledge of Cisco optics, optical, and routing offers is essential for success, along with understanding competitors" solutions in these areas. Familiarity with the growing data center environment, including Ethernet and Infiniband, is required. You should have a proven track record in developing new sales strategies, hunting new accounts, and establishing strong relationships. Key capabilities include opportunity discovery, forecasting, excellent presentation skills, and short-term, mid-term, and long-term opportunity management. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management and prioritization abilities, are essential. Minimum Qualifications: - 7+ years of sales experience in a fast-paced, high-technology environment - Understanding and experience with optics and optical networking - Understanding and experience with routing technologies - Understanding of switching, front-end and back-end AI networking - Understanding and experience with automation and assurance solutions is a plus Preferred Qualifications: - Business planning skills - An autonomous work ethic - Ability to work effectively in a large, matrixed organization - BA/BS degree or equivalent experience Cisco ensures that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation throughout the job application, interview process, performing job functions, and receiving other benefits and privileges of employment.
