Accounts Assistant – Job Description

Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Porur, Chennai
Experience: 1–3 Years
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Any Accounting-related Degree

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, documentation, and financial reporting. The candidate should have basic knowledge of GST, TDS, invoicing, and accounting software.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounts, vouchers, and financial records.
• Handle purchase, sales, payment & receipt entries.
• Prepare and process invoices, bills, and vendor payments.
• Maintain petty cash records and bank reconciliation statements.
• Assist in GST filing, TDS calculation, and tax-related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments and vendors for bill verification.
• Maintain stock register & follow up on outstanding payments.
• Support month-end closing and financial reporting tasks.
• Work with auditors for accounts verification and documentation.

Key Skills

• Knowledge of Accounting principles, GST & TDS.
• Hands-on experience with Tally / ERP / MS Excel.
• Good numerical accuracy and time management.
• Strong documentation & communication skills.
• Ability to handle deadlines and multitask.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in Manufacturing / Trading / Service Industry.
• Immediate joiner preferred.
• Strong discipline, honesty & responsibility.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
