About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Mentor to join our team in Kozhikode. The Academic Mentor is a pivotal role responsible for guiding students throughout their educational journey, fostering academic achievement, and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with students, faculty, and parents.

Key Responsibilities

Student Mentorship & Development

• Develop supportive relationships with a caseload of students, providing mentorship, guidance, and personalized advice to help them achieve academic and personal goals.
• Coordinate and facilitate student activities, clubs, or programs to enhance personal development and learning experiences.
• Address student concerns, conflicts, or minor disciplinary issues, collaborating with teachers and counselors as needed.

Academic Progress Monitoring

• Proactively monitor and track the academic performance and attendance of assigned students.
• Conduct regular informal assessments and evaluations to gauge student learning and curriculum understanding.
• Collaborate with teachers and counselors to design and implement personalized academic intervention plans for students requiring targeted support.

Parent/Guardian Communication

• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with parents/guardians, providing timely updates on their child's academic progress, behavior, and overall development.
• Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings and conferences to discuss performance, set goals, and define areas for improvement.
• Promptly address parental concerns and provide guidance on strategies to support their child's education at home.

Data Management & Reporting (MIS)

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student information, including grades, assessments, attendance, and behavioral observations.
• Utilize Management Information Systems (MIS) and educational software to generate reports and data analysis on student performance and development for internal review and stakeholder sharing.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Any Bachelor's Degree (Any Graduate).
• Proven ability to build rapport and trust with students and parents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and local language proficiency is a plus).

• Mentorship: Demonstrated passion for student growth and development.
• Organization: Strong record-keeping, time management, and attention to detail.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in basic office software (Word, Excel) and experience utilizing educational software or MIS for data entry and reporting.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
