Position: Academic Mentor

About the Role

As an Academic Mentor, you’ll serve as a supportive guide and motivator, closely monitoring student progress and collaborating with educators and families to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Mentoring & Student Engagement

• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage academic growth and personal development.
• Lead co-curricular activities, clubs, and enrichment programs that foster all-round student growth.
• Collaborate with teachers and counselors to understand and address student challenges.

Academic Monitoring & Support

• Regularly track student performance and identify learning gaps early.
• Conduct assessments and provide tailored academic support where necessary.
• Work with faculty to develop and implement personalized learning strategies for students in need of additional help.

Family Communication & Support

• Maintain consistent communication with parents and guardians about student progress and well-being.
• Facilitate parent meetings to align on academic goals and support strategies.
• Advise families on how to effectively support learning at home.

Data & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic performance, and student behavior.
• Analyze academic data to drive targeted interventions and continuous improvement.
• Utilize digital tools and educational platforms to monitor and report student progress effectively.
