Join us as an Mathematics Instructor in our Mathematics Department at Newton School of Technology.
We are seeking an experienced professional to deliver high-quality lectures, design course content, and mentor students and take lab classes ensuring their success in the tech field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Course Development & Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Mathematical Topics.
- Teach and mentor B.Tech students in core Mathematics, including:
- Linear Algebra
- Advanced Calculus
- Mathematical Foundations for Computer Science
- Probability & Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Optimization.
- Design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions.
- Integrate Mathematical concepts with Computer Science applicationsAI, Data Science, Algorithms.
- Mentor students through projects, competitions, and guided research
- Collaborate in curriculum development alongside faculty and industry advisors.
- Lab Management: Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum.
- Academic Excellence & Student Success: Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation.
- Research & Innovation: Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must Haves:
Expertise in Core Mathematics Strong command of Linear Algebra, Advanced Calculus, Probability & Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and Mathematical Foundations for Computer Science.
Teaching & Mentoring B.Tech Students –
- Proven ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple, engaging manner for engineering students (B.tech Computer Science students)
- Curriculum Development & Delivery – Experience in designing, structuring, and delivering courses/lectures with modern teaching methodologies.
- Application-Oriented Thinking – Ability to connect Mathematics to Computer Science applications (AI/ML, Data Science, Optimization, Algorithms).
- Communication & Engagement Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong student engagement and mentorship capability.
Good to have:
- Prior experience teaching at the undergraduate or postgraduate level in Mathematics (especially in CS contexts)
- Familiarity with AI/ML, Data Science, or Optimization applications.
- Knowledge of tools like GeoGebra, Desmos, MATLAB, or Python.
- Exposure to research or Math-based software development.
