Abacus / Vedic Math Teacher

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Training

• Conduct Abacus and/or Vedic Math classes for students (Classes 1–8 or as per school requirement).
• Teach concepts such as:
• Abacus bead movements
• Mental math visualization
• Vedic math sutras
• Speed multiplication/division techniques
• Shortcut strategies for calculations
• Train students in:
• Concentration skills
• Analytical thinking
• Memory enhancement
• Provide practice worksheets, speed drills, and mental calculation exercises.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a disciplined, energetic, and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor individual progress and identify slow and fast learners.
• Encourage healthy competition through quizzes, challenges, and timed activities.

Assessment & Record Keeping

• Conduct regular assessments, practice tests, and mental math evaluations.
• Maintain student records, progress charts, and attendance.
• Share feedback with parents and school authorities.

Event Participation

• Prepare students for interschool mental math competitions.
• Assist in organizing Abacus/Vedic math demonstrations and exhibitions.

Curriculum & Material Preparation

• Create lesson plans and teaching aids.
• Prepare practice sheets, speed test papers, and performance trackers.
• Ensure availability of abacus tools, books, and learning resources.

Qualifications & Skills RequiredEducational Qualifications

• Graduate in any field (preferred: Mathematics background).
• Certification/Diploma in Abacus or Vedic Maths (required).

• Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
• Ability to teach using visual and interactive techniques.
• Excellent communication and classroom handling.
• Patience, energy, and child-friendly behavior.
• Ability to motivate students toward faster and accurate calculation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
