Job Description

Job title: DevOps Engineer

About the job

Sanofis Digital Data organizations mission is to transform Sanofi into a data-first and AI first organization by empowering everyone with good data. Through custom developed products built on world class data foundations and platforms, the team builds value and a unique competitive advantage that scales across our markets, R&D and manufacturing sites.

In this role the person will develop globally scalable solutions that are needed by Sanofis advanced analytic, AI and ML initiatives for the betterment of our global patients and customers . Specifically,

Work with business and products teams to understand requirements, and translate them into technical needs
Drive value from product prototyping to development, deployment, and optimization
Develop, operate, and scale AI platforms based on requirements and design specifications using appropriate tools and technologies (following GitOps principles)
Partner with peers within Digital, driving the continuous improvement of service processes, user experiences, and AI platforms and applications
Propose and establish technical designs, patterns and best practices actively contributing to the engineering community
Conduct peer reviews for quality, consistency, and rigor for production level solutions
Remain up to date industry practices, company standards and emerging technologies
Chart the course to daily releases for hundreds of products on dozens of technologies.

Key Functional Requirements & Qualifications:

Should have experience in working in agile cross-functional teams to solve complex data architecture and engineering problems
Must have excellent analytical capabilities, and have the drive to find solutions and strong problem-solving skills
Must have a solid understanding of agile concepts and development processes

Key Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

Master''s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or similar field with 6-8 years of engineering experience.

Experience:

Expertise with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Expertise in agile development processes and DevOps methodology / best practices / patterns
Expertise in managing cloud-native systems following GitOps principles (GitHub, GitLab, terraform, CI/CD, Orchestration, Actions)
Expertise with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana)
Mentoring and/or technology evangelism/advocacy
Scaling and operations of containerized applications (Kubernetes)
Linux based operating systems and scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting)
Data storage technologies (Object, structured, and unstructured) and knowledge of SQL and relational databases (AWS RDS)

Fluent in English
