3D Character Artist (On - Contract)

• Reports To: Senior 3D Character Artist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled(in art), 3D Character Artist who can create stylized character assets.

Responsibilities:

Character Modeling

• Work closely with Concept Artists to translate 2D character concepts into detailed 3D models capturing the essence and personality of each character.

• Create high-quality stylized 3D clothing assets

  with attention to detail, topology, and UV layout. Ensure that the models are optimized for real-time performance in the Unity Engine.

• Develop stylized and visually appealing textures

  and character materials, considering aesthetics and technical constraints.

• Understanding the logic of proper topology

  for rigging and skinning character models to make animation run smoothly.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools, and maintain expertise in the Unity Engine's capabilities to implement advanced features and optimize character assets.

Unity Integration

• Seamlessly integrate character assets into Unity3D, ensuring optimal performance and visual fidelity.
• Collaborate with animators and developers and fix issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating 3D character art skills in stylized design.
• Proven experience as a 3D Character Artist with contributions to released games.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Marvelous Designer, and Substance Painter or similar tools.
• Experience with Unity Engine for character asset creation, optimization, and implementation.
• Strong grasp of human anatomy, form, and proportion, adaptable to different art styles.
• Expertise in stylized hair creation, drapery modeling for costumes, and both hard-surface and organic modeling.
• Excellent sculpting skills in ZBrush, with a deep understanding of animation-related character modeling.
