Job Description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: Zscaler Web Security Engineer
Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Zscaler Web Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA). The role involves implementing, managing, and optimizing web security solutions to ensure secure and seamless access for users across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Implement, configure, and manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA).
Manage web filtering policies, SSL inspection, URL categorization, and threat protection rules.
Troubleshoot Zscaler policy issues, authentication failures, user access problems, and connectivity incidents.
Integrate Zscaler with Active Directory, IdPs (Okta, Azure AD), and SIEM tools.
Monitor logs, perform threat analysis, and provide security recommendations.
Configure and optimize forwarding methods (PAC file, Zscaler Client Connector, GRE/IPSec tunnels).
Support deployment architecture for branch offices, roaming users, and cloud apps.
Conduct periodic health checks, upgrades, and best practice audits.
Work closely with network, security, and infrastructure teams to implement security policies.
Maintain documentation, SOPs, policies, and training materials.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA.
Expertise in web security, URL filtering, SSL inspection, malware detection.
Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, proxy technologies.
Experience with Zscaler Client Connector deployment and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of identity integration (SAML, SSO, SCIM, LDAP).
Experience with traffic forwarding: PAC files, GRE tunnels, IPSec tunnels.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts, secure web gateways (SWG).
Experience with log monitoring tools: Splunk, SIEM, Zscaler logs.
Good understanding of Zero Trust Architecture.
