Role Overview:


Roles and Responsibilities for Manager – Yarn Marketing (Tirupur)

  • The company’s primary focus in Tirupur, the largest hub for knit garment exports.
  • Frequently travel to Karur to expand customer base and develop business opportunities.
  • Develop a minimum of 10 new customers within 1–1.5 years.

    Minimum business of 50tons per month to be achieved for specialty yarn blends during this time besides the usual cotton yarns and common blends

  • Achieve a business volume minimum of

    ₹2 crores per month on an average

    in the first 1–1.5 years and minimum of

    ₹45crores annually in 3

    years with reasonable profitability

    .
  • Build strong relationships with local buyers in Tirupur and Karur markets.
  • Identify and address customer needs, including volume requirements and product specifications.
  • Coordinate sample development and trial orders

    with related production units

    .
  • Work closely with the corporate team to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and timely reporting.
  • Follow up on customer payments and ensure timely collections.
  • Implement suitable credit arrangements or collaborate with agents to handle payments for bulk orders.
  • Regularly present swatches and samples to customers, ensuring alignment with their requirements.
  • Resolve issues related to fabric appearance, working challenges, or customer feedback promptly and effectively.
  • Focus on marketing and selling specialty blends and fancy yarns tailored to customer demands in Tirupur and Karur.
  • Stay updated on market trends, customer payment terms, and competitive offerings in Tirupur and Karur.
  • Provide daily updates to AGM/GM – Yarn Marketing at the corporate office on market activities, customer feedback, and business progress.


Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Textiles or Marketing).
  • 10+ years of proven experience in yarn marketing, especially in Tirupur and Karur markets.
  • Good knowledge of the variety of yarns and their usages in knitting and weaving.

  • Ability to understand the running trends and assess the future trends.

  • Proficiency in Tamil, English, and Hindi.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage buyers and payment terms.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business development.
  • Capability to coordinate frequent sample developments and trial orders.


Other major responsibilities:

Establish suitable payment arrangements, either by offering credit to customers or collaborating with agents who can make instant payments to NSL and collect from buyers later, especially for securing bulk volume orders from major buyers.
