Job Opening: Woven Merchandiser

Location: Coimbatore
Experience: 2–3 Years
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Role & Responsibilities

• Source and onboard weaving unit vendors based on quality, capacity, and cost efficiency
• Analyze Purchase Orders (POs) and prepare accurate costing with proper yarn & fabric consumption
• Plan and calculate warp, weft, and overall fabric consumption with realistic wastage
• Strong understanding of loom types, weaving techniques, and fabric constructions
• Possess hands-on knowledge of fabric processing stages including:
• Dyeing
• Printing
• Finishing
• Sound knowledge of yarns and yarn blends, their behavior, and suitability for different fabric processes
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality, timelines, and cost control

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong calculation and analytical skills
• Proven expertise in fabric and yarn costing
• Accurate yarn consumption and fabric consumption calculations
• Practical knowledge of process-wise wastages in:
• Dyeing
• Printing
• Processing
• Clear understanding of yarn functionality for different processes
• Clear understanding of fabric functionality for end-use and processing
• Good coordination and vendor management skills
• Willing to travel for vendor visits and process follow-ups

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Background in woven fabric merchandising or production
• Exposure to weaving units and processing houses
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• Comfortable working in a cost-sensitive, execution-focused environment
